Progressives Fear Republican Fight For Kansas Supreme Court Vote?!?

This one is mostly over the head of most Sunflower State voters but remains a favorite topic of the local chattering classes given the GOP power move that would add another mostly ignored campaign issue to the local political cycle . . . Check-it: 

"Legislators approved a proposed constitutional amendment that would throw out the current merit-based system and add direct elections of Supreme Court justices. But a majority of Kansas voters would need to approve this switch next year."
