They might very well lose this fight . . . BUT . . . A bit of local political resistance to higher taxes is worth considering . . . Here's the word and a quote from a presser this week . . .
"The Platte County Commission, the county clerk and the Board of Equalization are unified in their opposition to this heavy-handed and unjust action by the STC, an unelected three-person board appointed by the governor," county commissioners said in a news release.

Platte County officials said they will not implement a 15% property assessment increase ordered by the Missouri State Tax Commission (STC).
