"The judge on Monday granted a motion from Owen McIntire's attorney, saying the defense team needed more time . . . McIntire's attorneys requested the extra time to review evidence, interview experts and prepare for trial.

"The trial is now set to begin in August 2026. McIntire's trial was originally set to begin next month.

"Investigators have accused McIntire of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the Kansas City Tesla service center in march, damaging two vehicles.

"The judge has also rejected a request by prosecutors to revoke McIntire's bond and force him back to jail."
