Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar Didn't Save River Market Donutology

Actually . . .

It was probably draconian parking rules that helped to drive out this mostly beloved purveyor of sugary treats. 

However . . .

Neither proximity to the toy train streetcar line nor reverence to cowtown transit history helped to save an otherwise successful and widely celebrated biz. 

Of course there will be haters . . . However . . . This place was beloved by families, hipsters and pretty much everyone with a soul and a willing, adventurous spirit that accepts occasional Type-2 diabetes risk.

LIKE IT OR NOT, DONUTOLOGY SHUTTING DOWN IS AN EPIC LOSS FOR KANSAS CITY'S RIVER MARKET!!! 

Here's a comment on the upcoming weekend closure . . . 

“This was a tough call, but the right one,” said Andrew Cameron, in a statement. “The Trolley was a creative and fun second location, and we’re incredibly proud of what our team accomplished there. Now, it’s time to put our full energy into making our original Westport location the best version of Donutology yet.”
