Actually, the 30% rate of empty storefronts on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza is not so fun fact that was reported earlier this Summer . . . It took the newspaper about a month and a half to follow-up on this news that only seems to be getting worse.

Approximately 30% of the 156 retail and restaurant spaces on the Country Club Plaza are currently empty, which is roughly 47 storefronts. This week's map from the Kansas City Star shows the distribution of these vacancies across the Plaza.
