Kansas City South Loop STILL Delayed: Worth Wait Or Vaporware?!?

We shouldn't be shy about our contention . . .

TKC CONTENDS KANSAS CITY CONSTRUCTION OVER THE SOUTH LOOP IS MOSTLY DEVELOPER HYPE!! 

The scheme continues to evolve and now it has several layers . . . 

It's always worth mentioning that corporate "donations" & funding for the project is unsecured and exists mostly in press release form . . . Translation . . . Local corporate cash for this deal is imaginary. 

Also . . . The feds HATE this project and have rejected it in both Democratic & Republican administrations. 

Finally . . . 

There's a pretty great urban legend that tells this is mostly a NOISE REDUCTION SCHEME for nearby hotels & luxury living space given that KC has two nearby parks and doesn't really need more "green space" at such an exorbitant cost. 

Finally . . .

Does anybody think KC will deliver the incredible maintenance to keep drivers below out of harm's way?!?

Look at any pothole-riddled street in this town and get back to us with an answer. 

And of this is why anybody really "waiting" for this project is advised not to hold their breath . . . Check-it:  

After years of anticipation, early prep work has officially started on the South Loop Project. The city is hopeful construction will begin this fall, and with it, a vision that could reshape the heart of Kansas City.

"This is worth the wait," a city spokesperson said.

"Anything that is good is generally worth the wait, and I would say Luminary Park is going to be worth the wait."
