Kansas City Parks & Rec Rebukes 'Red Bridge Butcher' Claim

"Recently, a man claiming to be the “Red Bridge Butcher” said he was authorized by the Kansas City Parks & Recreation Department to remove locks from the bridge, saying they were hard on the bridge’s infrastructure.

"Parks & Recreation officials refuted the man’s claim and said the department does not remove locks from the Old Red Bridge, which is adjacent to the new bridge located on Red Bridge Road between Holmes and Blue River Road in south Kansas City."
