Jackson County Recall Election Veto Ruling From Counselor Coming Soon

Petitioners might soon get a shocker when their handiwork doesn't garner a lot of respect . . .

This report attempt to calm fears but really don't know much about what's happening inside the courthouse.

In fact, Exec Frank White has vetoed quite a few resolutions . . .

The more interesting question is:

What will the legislature do if the Exec vetoes the recall election?!?!

Here is one opinion out of many . . .

"Last Monday, election boards certified enough signatures to trigger the recall. It’s up to legislators to pick a date. The county charter says the recall must go to voters within 60 days of the petition certification.

"Some people who gathered signatures worry White might veto Monday’s ordinance. However, the charter does not allow the executive to veto a resolution."
