Here's How NEXT Jackson County Executive Will Be Selected IF Recall Wins

The work isn't over for Jackson County voters following the vote by the Legislature to override the Executive and move forward with a recall.

Of course, the ballot issue needs to make it to the ballot first . . . 

And then . . .  

If voters support a ballot issue to recall the Executive . . . After certification of the vote by the State Of Missouri . . . 

The Chairman of the Jackson County Legislature selects and interim County Executive to preside over the office for a very short time . . .

Until . . . 

The Legislature meets again and a vote amongst Legislators will select the next Jackson County Executive.

That person will serve for what would have been remainder of Executive Frank White's term.

The person selected also can run for reelection contrary to some local media reports.
