Here's How Jackson County Voters Could Soon Elect New Assessor

An ordinance passed by the legislature, then vetoed by the county executive, was overruled by the legislature on Friday.

The ballot this November will ask voters if the assessor should be an elected position. 

If approved by voters, the first vote for county assessor would be held in November of 2028.
