Downtown Kansas City Gunmen Suspects Claim 'Green Laser Beams' Sparked Shooting

"Charged with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action after multiple occupied apartments were struck by gunfire at The Grand apartment building in Kansas City's Power & Light District. 

"An officer working for the Law Enforcement Resource Center began to review cameras in the area and directed police to two men in the area, one seen holding an "AK-47 style rifle" and the other holding a handgun.

"The two men were taken into custody without incident after being found standing outside of a vehicle near The Grand.

"Officers reviewing city cameras in the area were seen getting into that vehicle when a green laser beam could be seen on them, as well as their vehicle, before the two allegedly opened fire on the apartment building."
