Country Club Plaza Fights Jackson County Property Tax Hike

Here's a peek at the ongoing struggle against local biz targeted with AN EXORBITANT TAX UPTICK that has locals crying foul.

The Hunt Family corporate group might not get the same kind of sympathy that local small biz has elicited BUT this is a good chance to partner with the plebs for change.

On Wednesday, The Village Collection (formerly HP Village) confirmed that it will file an appeal with Jackson County.

The property sold in June 2024 for an estimated $175.6 million. According to reports, the 2025 tax assessment values the property above this selling price, and The Village Collection is requesting a 45-percent reduction.
