Could MAGA Trade War Ruin Kansas City Coffee Scene?!?

Actually, we're going to offer a bit of encouragement . . . 

TKC hopes local KC coffee shops will survive because they're one of the few attainable luxuries for the working-class. 

We're probably biased but a trip to favorite local coffee places is a harmless indulgence and one of the very few guilty pleasures that doesn't feed into more dangerous addictions beyond delicious carbs.

Even better . . . 

KC is home to a bevy of local coffee shops and they've created a really vibrant community and a viable "third place" for locals who don't want to work out or booze in the company sometimes dangerous strangers. 

Still, check the testimony . . . 

"Anchor Island Coffee recently experienced its worst quarter since opening, according to owner Armando Vasquez. He worries five more years in his Hyde Park shop might not be possible.

"The business is struggling with a combination of tariffs, high food costs and less consumer spending, making it increasingly difficult to break even."
