Congressman Cleaver Announces MILLIONS To Clean Up Kansas City

Maybe not a political revival but, hopefully, something more substantial when it comes to environmental action. 

Here's what might be a bit of good news this week . . . 

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) announced on Wednesday that the city of Kansas City has been given a federal grant of $3.5 million to help clean up brownfield sites -- properties that are potentially contaminated by pollutants or hazardous materials -- within the city.

The federal funds, awarded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will invest in the city's Brownfields Supplemental Revolving Loan Fund, providing loans and subgrants to clean up and redevelop projects at these polluted properties.
