Concentration Camp Comparison Cont'd As CoreCivic Launches Lawsuit

This post is just an excuse to share something we've seen pop up in the local discourse.

This meme is actually gaining traction amongst local progressives and has been shared by more than a few KCMO leaders . . .

For the record, we've notice that many Holocaust survivors and advocates don't agree with the comparison at all.  

Either way . . . 

Here's the local angle as a controversial holding facility is pushing back against public sentiment: 

"CoreCivic has filed a lawsuit against the city, alleging officials improperly revoked the company’s ability to operate a private detention facility without due process.

"The petition, filed July 8 in Leavenworth County District Court, challenges a March 25 city resolution that declared CoreCivic had abandoned the use of its Midwest Regional Reception Center and would now need a special use permit to resume operations."
