Lenexa Police Shoot & Kill Armed Suspect Near Oak Park Mall

Violence dominated local streets this weekend and even suburban streets weren't completely safe. 

Here's the report from an otherwise pleasant urban enclave . . . Check-it: 

"According to the department, around 3 a.m. on June 22, callers reported someone with a gun at the Lenexa Crossing Apartment Homes in the 12400 block of W 97th Terrace, just southwest of Oak Park Mall.

"Upon arrival, officers located an individual inside a parked vehicle near the apartment’s pool clubhouse. During an encounter with that individual, at least one Lenexa officer discharged their firearm, striking the individual. The individual was transported by Johnson County Med-Act to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced deceased. No officers were injured."
