The local crackdown on street racing continues and it's not making as many headlines but the story remain worth following for local residents and voters.
Here's the word for this weekend and continued warning for drivers who would rather, wisely, avoid any lockup . . . Check-it:
"When you perform tricks in front of officers holding stop sticks or drive through a police blockade when you have warrants, you will get arrested.
"Officers working the Entertainment Districts on First Friday responded to a nearby area to a possible sideshow-in-the-making
"One man, driving with his gun on the passenger seat, had warrants. Another now has a tow fee of at least $500 for his tricks, plus other costs.
