Kansas City 'Unity Walk' Endures

A well-meaning local corporate effort didn't earn much fanfare today but might still deserve a mention for those of us who want a better picture of what's happening throughout the metro . . . Take a peek at the backstory: 

"Unite KC was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and the racial division after the death of George Floyd.

"Dayton Moore, former Kansas City Royals general manager, wanted to start a non-profit organization focused on healing racial tensions in Kansas City. He called Ray Jarrett, who help him start Unite KC."

Unite KC Walk for Unity aims to bring people together

People from all different walks of life participated in Saturday's walk. Some told FOX4 they had made good friends through meeting at past Unite KC events.
