The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) Air Quality Program has issued an orange Ozone Action Alert for Thursday, June 19, 2025. This alert indicates that an unhealthy level of ground-level ozone is expected tomorrow in the Kansas City region.
“The first Ozone Action Alert for this year’s ozone season in the Kansas City region is just days before the first day of summer on Friday,” said Karen Clawson, air quality program manager.
