Kansas City Protest Against ICE Mistakes Westside For Crossroads

Here's an petty Kansas City cowtown correction that's worth dwelling on because it's hilarious to anybody who has lived river city for more than five minutes . . .

ACTIVISTS ORGANIZING AGAINST ICE IN KANSAS CITY DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWIXT THE WESTSIDE & THE CROSSROADS!!!

Insiders sent word our way with an eye-roll regarding the current crop of local protesters who don't seem to know which community they're trying to save . . .

The difference between Westside & Crossroads is critical especially in this spicy "Latino-flavored" conversation.

Consider . . .

The Westside is traditionally Kansas City's working-class enclave where many in the local Latino community trace their roots back more than 100 years.

The Crossroads is an up & coming artistic community that's home to refurbished old buildings with EPIC rents and a lot of creative small biz & coffee shops where young people and the young at heart hang out.

To be fair . . . There is some overlap . . . There's a lot of upscale gentrification on Westside and the "urban" appeal of the Crossroads distinguishes it from less important artsy communities in the nearby burbs.

But make no mistake . . .

Agree or disagree with this protest against MAGA . . . This mislabeling amid an "uprising" is an important sign that they don't know much about the community they're attempting to organize.

More importantly, the people who reside and/or have roots in this community can EASILY see through their rhetoric . . . Check-it:

"Join us in the Crossroads as we stand with Los Angeles and demand an end to ICE RAIDS and detentions.

"We will not stand silent as our friends, families, neighbors, and co-workers are ripped from our communities."
