Kansas City 'Funny Tasting' Water ALMOST Explained Amid Complaints

Readers of our comment section have seen this story coming a few days ago . . . But now, on a slow news Sunday there's a recent presser that hopes to calm concern.

Here's the official story behind curious water flavor for the metro . . . 

KC Water attributed the recent changes to your tap water's taste and smell to heavy rainfall across the metro.

The company said the changes are normal and "completely harmless," and staff are currently monitoring the Missouri River, where all our water comes from, to determine how they need to adjust their treatments.

KC Water added that the different smell and taste won't last forever and will eventually cycle through its system within the next few days.
