The effort to undo American democracy has had supporters who identify as people of faith. But the details of that have not been easy to trace simply by reading, watching or listening to press reports.

A new book, however, fills in many of those gaps and even devotes some space to what people can do about it.

Money, Lies and God: Inside the Movement to Destroy American Democracy, by Katherine Stewart, connects lots of dots and shows readers the many ways a certain brand (or brands) of Christianity is working to support an anti-democratic, anti-republican, pro-authoritarian style of government.
