A great deal of the local news-cycle this week has been dedicated to "community outreach" against violence that seems to be falling upon deaf ears if the level of local gunfire is any indication.

"Two people were injured in a shooting Monday night at a Kansas City apartment complex. Officers responded around 7 p.m. to the Urbane apartment complex in the 8600 block of Drury Avenue."
