Kansas City 2025 Homicide #68: Northland Murders Trending?!?

Tonight we notice more bloodshed on the "nice side" of the bridge that normally escapes so many "consequences" of urban life . . .

Blame the worsening BIDEN/MAGA/CHINA/RUSSIA recession or factors closer to home . . . Either way there's no denying that violence continues in otherwise peaceful communities.

Accordingly, we share tonight's report following a deadly shooting and more local coverage . . .

Homicide 3000 block of NE 37th St

This morning about 11:10am officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of NE 37th st on a shooting call.

While officers were on the way to the scene they were notified of a shooting victim that arrived at a hospital by private vehicle and was dropped off.

Officers located evidence that a shooting likely occurred inside an apartment building at the original dispatched address.

Detectives responded to the scene to begin investigation. They have been canvassing for witnesses and working to coordinate crime scene processing.

A short time later detectives were notified that the victim died at the hospital from his injuries.
Detectives could really use the public’s help with information as there was not anyone that remained at the original scene and the victim was left by himself at the hospital.

If anyone was in this area around that time and heard or saw anything or has any information they are asked to contact Homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.

We are committed to assisting victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.

We are working with Partners for Peace in all our homicide investigations to monitor risks for retaliation and provide social services to affected residents.
