Johnson County Gunfight Aftermath: Suspect Charged For Shooting At Shawnee Police

There's a Hispanic surname involved in this story so that might trigger some of our suburban friends who often seem frazzled by the changing demographics of local suburbia. 

But . . . 

As far as we know he's legal . . . Maybe not even a dreamer.  

For now, here are the basics of the charges . . . Check-it: 

"Just after 5 a.m. Tuesday, Shawnee police officers responded to reported gunfire near 67th Street and Lackman Road.

"When officers arrived, the suspect fired several shots, according to the Shawnee Police Department. An officer did return fire, but no injuries were reported. The suspect was then taken into custody.

"The Johnson County Officer-Involved Critical Incident Investigative Team (OICIIT) is investigating the incident. "
