Preston Smith: BOE PUTS OUT TWO DIFFERENT GUIDELINES FOR THE 2025 HEARINGS. WHAT TO BELIEVE?
A week ago the 2025 BOE rules of hearing procedures said that all evidence had to be submitted within 3 days of the scheduled hearing: Here is where the 3 days prior exists today online
Go to p. 3, under item 5: It says, "Supporting documentation that is not filed electronically at least three days prior to the first scheduled hearing date will not be considered by the board absent extraordinary circumstances and for good cause shown."
And now I see where you have to get ALL your documents submitted within 10 days AFTER FILING THE APPEAL. That means if you want to submit an appraisal, and you didn't get a notice until today, you have to have 100% of all your evidence submitted by July 24. Incredible. They have NEVER been that strict before.
Here is what it says:
"All supporting documentation MUST be filed with the appeal application. No supporting documentation will be accepted more than 10 days after the filing of the appeal."
