Feds Protect Congressman Cleaver After Suspected Shooter 'Hit List' Threat

Divisive American politics seems to be worsening but Kansas City's top ranking statesman is no stranger to conflict and the threat of violence . . . We wanted to share this quote for perspective . . . Check-it: 

Cleaver said he did not want to talk about some of the safety precautions that have been provided to him.

"I intend to sit down with FBI officials next week to discuss with them some matters that I and my family would need to know," Cleaver said.

The congressman will be back in Washington D.C. Sunday. Police found his name on a list of politicians in the car of Boelter's. Cleaver said this has never happened to him.

"I've had a cross burned in my lawn 25 years ago," he continued. "I've received a lot of threats. There's a guy in the super prison in Colorado who threw two Molotov cocktails into my office, so yeah, we've had things happen before but never where a person just clearly said that he was interested in my earthly demise."
