Feds Investigate Suspected Lenexa, Kansas Tesla Firebombing

Follow-up as G-men ask for community assistance on what is likely politically motivated violence.

Here are the basics . . .  

Around 1:05 a.m. that morning, surveillance footage captured a vehicle pulling onto the shoulder of Interstate 435 near the Tesla facility at 15125 W. 101st Terrace.

A suspect lit and threw two Molotov cocktails at the rear of the building, and then drove away in the same vehicle, according to the ATF.

“This was a calculated attack that could have caused significant harm,” said ATF Kansas City Special Agent in Charge Bernard Hansen. “We’re working closely with our partners at the FBI and Lenexa Police to identify the individual responsible, and we need the public’s help. If you saw something or know something—even if it seems minor—now is the time to speak up.”
