Court Dox: Former Live-In Suspected In Olathe Homicide

Trigger warning, some of this stuff is kinda of gruesome . . . 

The rear door to the residence was unlocked, and officers said they smelled an odor consistent with decomposition coming from the basement – where they located Peterson's body under a missing piece of carpet. The carpet appeared to have been removed with a sharp object.

The affidavit says officers located a space in a wall on the main level of the house with a dent in the drywall. In the dent was a single light-colored hair. Officers also located apparent blood splatter near the bottom of the stairs.

According to the affidavit, officers spoke with other witnesses who had spoken to Hudgens about his living situation with Peterson. According to witnesses, he gave conflicting accounts regarding his living situation with her.
