We've been thinking about the term "humiliation ritual" that has been gaining traction amongst the Internets set for quite some time.
Here's what seems to be the agreed upon definition for now:
"A humiliation ritual is a practice intended to publicly shame or embarrass an individual, often as a form of punishment or social control. It involves actions designed to lower someone's social status and inflict emotional distress by diminishing their self-esteem and causing public mortification. These rituals can range from judicially sanctioned punishments to social shaming on digital platforms."
This might or might now qualify depending on your sense of humor or lack thereof . . .
The pinup tattoo drawn by tattoo artist Tara Farkas of Toledo Tattoo Company, depicted Travis Kelce clad in a pair of cleats, socks, and gloves, riding a can of Accelerator energy drink as it blasted off with fire shooting out of the bottom of the can.
To sweeten the deal, Jones also received a signed Travis Kelce jersey.
