Blue Springs School Board Cracks Down On Convicted Creepers

A nasty subject but also an important step and part of a trend when comes to protecting youngsters.

Here are the new rules . . .  

Members of the Blue Springs School Board approved the new policy during a monthly meeting this week.

- Registered sex offenders will not be allowed on any district policy or form of transportation.
- Registered sex offenders will not be allowed at any district activity, even if they are held off district property, unless access is required by law.
- Certain felons won’t be allowed within 500 feet of school buildings, district property, or school activities.
