Locals shouldn't have much confidence in this effort given divided GOP politics regarding corporate freebies and an overall ideological split amongst the GOP super-majority in Jeff City.
However . . .
The consequences for Missouri are huge and this might be the last chance to save major league pro sports in the Show-Me State for at least a generation.

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe is holding a news conference Tuesday morning and is expected to announce details regarding a special session.
The news conference is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.
