The state’s two most prominent Democratic politicians continued their pushes against an estimated $715 billion Medicaid cut over 10 years.

Gov. Laura Kelly, in her duties as chair of the Democratic Governors Association, and U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids, the lone Democrat in the state’s Congressional delegation, held separate virtual press conferences Wednesday.

Ahead of an upcoming U.S. House vote on the budget, Davids said the proposed cuts would “fund massive tax breaks for billionaires and for big corporations”
