"The manager later reported that 53 pairs of sunglasses worth more than $9,200 had been taken. Security footage, which caught the incident on camera, was also provided.
"In July, investigators said they were contacted by the Merriam, Kansas, Police Department, which reported they interrupted a burglary at the Dick’s at 5600 Antioch Rd. The suspect left a pair of pants that matched the pair worn in the footage of the earlier break-in.
"The Merriam Police Department indicated that traffic camera footage showed the suspect leave the scene of the break-in and get into a blue Mazda with New Mexico license plates. A traffic stop of the same car that happened months earlier in Westwood revealed the driver to be SUSPECT."

Arrest warrant issued for man accused of stealing $9.2K in sunglasses
An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Kansas City man accused of stealing more than $9,000 in sunglasses from an area sporting goods store.
