Mayor Q & Local Leaders Share Best Wishes As Katheryn Shields Leaves Kansas City

"As County Executive and on City Council dating back to the 1980s, her formidable legacy includes the 1% for the Arts program, historic preservation, retaining the Royals and Chief in the 2000s, and her strong promotion and support of women and people of color in government, including as campaign manager for our district’s first Black congressman, Alan Wheat. Katheryn was tough, but fair. 

"I wish her well and thank her for the decades of public service."
