For now, here's the word . . .
The Kansas City Police Department only had $3.5 million set aside in a fund used to settle lawsuits.
It means a $14.6 million shortfall.
“We're just going to have to make cuts. This is what you do. You know, you come across some of these situations. You know, this last lawsuit was large, and it was something that had occurred decades ago,” said KCPD Chief Stacey Graves.
