Harsh times persist for our 2nd favorite Kansas City enclave here's the most recent struggle . . .

She is now paying $25,000 for a crew to dig up the pipe. She also has an estimate for another $10,000 to repave the street.

It’s burdensome, she said, because of a newer city ordinance requiring curb-to-curb resurfacing when pavement less than five years old is excavated.
