Banana Ball is a modified version of baseball created by the Savannah Bananas team, known for its fast-paced, entertaining, and fan-friendly gameplay. 

As of late, it has generated more excitement than "real" baseball . . .

Accordingly, here's a look at the home team trying to keep up . . . 

For the first time in Kansas City's history, the fast-paced, power-hitting competition will take place on Sept. 13, commemorating and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Royals' 2015 postseason win.

Kansas City to host Home Run Derby X at Kauffman Stadium

The Kansas City Royals announced Wednesday morning that it will be hosting Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby X this September at Kauffman Stadium.
