Kansas City Northland Speeder Showdown Ends With Gunfire, Smack & Arrest

Local street life gets tense on the nice side of the bridge as a good intentions sparked a dangerous series of events. 

And so we share this sordid tale of suburban drama and why it's always a bad idea to confront strangers.

During the interaction, investigators said the victim claimed SUSPECT reached for a gun, which caused him to fear for his life and drive away. At least one gunshot was heard as the victim left the area and returned home.

A short time after he returned home, the victim and a witness reported that SUSPECT confronted him on his property and attempted to provoke him into a fight. He is believed to have smacked the victim during the incident.

A witness told investigators she believed SUSPECT brought the firearm into his home before police arrived. He was taken into custody and booked into the Clay County Detention Center as a result.
