Kansas City Mayor Q Celebrates Sluggish Population Uptick

LOOK AT THE NUMBER CLOSELY & NOTICE KANSAS CITY POPULATION GROWTH LAGGING!!!

The census tells us that average population growth for cities over 50K people is 1.0% and KC's count falls behind that number.

Moreover . . .

KC is counting over a larger timeframe . . . YTD numbers are much worse.

But we'll let the data and a recent city hall tweet speak for itself along with Mayor Q's reaction . . .

Municipal population estimates are out for the year ending July 1, 2024

Kansas City 2024: 516,032
Kansas City 2023: 511,300

4,732 people moved to KC last year (0.93% growth)

The city has added 7,936 people since April 2020
