Quick question . . .

CAN ANYBODY TELL US HOW LOCAL CONTROL IS GOING TO SOLVE DOWNTOWN STREET RACING OR CURB THE URBAN HOMICIDE COUNT?!?!

I'll wait.

In the meantime . . .

In the aftermath of scathing coverage of trending Downtown/Crossroads crime in Kansas City. Supporters of the Mayor diligently work to direct blame against police and governance structures.

Journalist Kevin Collison recently shared a great example of this blame shift . . . Check-it:

"Twenty-five years of reinvestment in downtown is being jeopardized by this chronic breakdown in security, shame on KCPD, the governor and his police commission, and City Hall...Fair or not, this is shaping up to be the mayor’s legacy."

And so we ask . . .

HOW SHOULD KANSAS CITY VOTERS ASSIGN BLAME AMID WORSENING CRIME IN DOWNTOWN & THE CROSSROADS?!?!

In the meantime, we wanted to share just a few more links on what seems to be the story of the week.
