This morning our TOP ECHELON insiders wanted to share a perspective that local media mostly ignore.
To wit . . .
AMID POLITICIZED COVERAGE FOR LATINOS ON CINCO DE MAYO, MOST NEWSIES MISSED THE PARTY!!!
Whilst many of our friends will be looking for tacos today . . . The Cinco De Mayo celebration for so many local Latinos already took place under the radar . . . Here's the word . . .
"Most of your TKC readers might not know it but KC Latinos already enjoyed their Cinco de Mayo over the weekend . . . War visited Kansas City and played a free concert and the Westside was PACKED with Latinos from every corner of the metro. There were thousands of people from the Blvd to the Crossroads with lowriders parading up and down the street. It really was an impressive display. You should post something about it on TKC because we there hasn't been much coverage of this great community event."
A promo photo of the occasion . . .

More importantly . . .
Old school music, neighborhood parties, lowriders and seniors ignoring open container municipal rules is a better glimpse to KC's Latino community than so much anti-MAGA hatred or all of those patronizing images of locals serving tacos and dancing to mariachi music . . . Yes, those things might be part of KC's Latino culture but they don't tell the whole story and we think this musical interlude offers just a bit more insight.
In fairness, we're going to try to share a balance of Latino links put on blast by MSM in order to push a narrative that might not be 100% accurate.
