Kansas City Activists Shame Mayor Q After Patriot Front March

A weekend show of force by a group that has been tagged as white supremacists continues to spark debate amongst denizens of the Kansas City discourse.

The lingering question posed by most activists & many local anti-racists . . .

WAS MAYOR Q SILENT AGAINST HATERS MARCHING IN KANSAS CITY?!?!

Our blog community has talked about this one quite a bit over the past 72 hours and here's our main takeaway with respect to "many sides" of the issue . . .

For voters in a town dominated by Democratic Party leadership and progressive ideas, the Mayor's statement about "free speech" fell flat.

In social media comments the Mayor was a bit more stern but the bottom line is:

Some of Kansas City's most diehard progressives were waiting for elected officials to show initiative against suspected haters and they were disappointed with Mayor Q's equivocating.

Meanwhile . . .

Critics of the Mayor ALSO weren't very impressed with his free speech endorsement given that so many of their comments are blocked from his socials.

Ultimately . . .

Suspected supremacists evoke circular arguments that only serve to frustrate most locals who don't have the luxury of hating anyone whilst dodging so seemingly endless KCMO bullets & potholes.

In the meantime . . . We share a quick peek at even more rebuke of Mayor Q and more insight into continued culture war to start the Summer . . .

The Mayor Who Won’t Say Their Name -- In a statement to The Defender, The Missouri NAACP called Saturday’s silence “a calculated show of force meant to intimidate” and warned that official passivity “speaks volumes.”
