Attorney General Kobach Responds to ACLU Lawsuit over 'Help, Not Harm' Act
TOPEKA – (May 28, 2025) – In response to a lawsuit filed by the ACLU in Douglas County District Court against the state's "Help, Not Harm" Act, a piece of legislation aimed at protecting Kansas children from life altering procedures, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach issued the following statement:
"I look forward to meeting the ACLU in court and defending our Kansas law. Once again, the ACLU is attempting to twist the meaning of the Kansas Constitution into something unrecognizable. The Kansas Legislature was well within its authority when it acted to protect Kansas children from these harmful surgeries."
