Every now and then we check the student newspaper of our alma mater in order to witness the progress of the intuition and our 2nd favorite commuter college.
Accordingly, we were surprised to notice a bit of coverage that intersects with our beat.
To wit . . . It turns out . . .
JUSTICE HORN WON HIS SGA CONTEST & NOW CHAMPIONS DEI AT UMKC!!!
That phrase may not matter outside of midtown BUT the city college serves as a training ground of focal point of so many aspiring local politicos . . . So we think it's important to take now . . . Here's the word:
"The orders being signed include staying strong on committing to DEI,
making UMKC both a LGBTQ+ and regular sanctuary campus and affirming
the campus as a safe haven for free speech and protest."
