Economists: Kansas Too Broke To Steal Chiefs & Royals?!?

Actually . . . One of our biggest worries about out neighbors is their consistent population decline and the scary fact that Kansas is quickly running out of ground water.

In the meantime, amid so much posturing & politicking to lure the biz of billionaires in hopes that the region can live off their crumbs . . . We notice a bit of economic data fired back across the State Line whilst STAR bonds might or might not run out . . . Here's the word that's worth considering inasmuch as most of the conversation surrounding this topic has been COMPLETELY MANUFACTURED and mostly serves to mislead voters, plebs & taxpayers one way or another . . . 

Economists say Kansas can’t afford both teams.

“You are not going to generate enough net revenue to cover one of the facilities, let alone two,” said Geoffrey Propheter, an associate professor of public finance at the University of Colorado Denver.

Propheter did say there’s a way Kansas could afford both stadiums, but that requires “cannibalizing activity from other businesses.”

A majority of Kansas lawmakers disagree, and say getting the Chiefs or Royals is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But whether STAR bonds can support one or two teams depends on who you ask.
