Postscript on fatal fire this morning . . .
The department received reports of someone possibly inside the structure and searched the building. When searching the units, KCFD said they found a person who had died.
The Kansas City Police Department’s Bomb and Arson unit has been ordered to the scene due to the suspicious nature of the fire.

One person has died in an apartment fire in Kansas City, Missouri, on Stateline Road near the University of Kansas Hospital.
