Given that spike in dangerous doggie incidents in KCMO . . . At first glance, we can't blame the guy for being "adamant" about securing his animal which is important for public safety but not always pretty.
Here are the basics and more info that's better than social media chatter . . .
The dog is a 1-year-old Rottweiler named Sampson. Kansas City Animal Control officers claim that they received a full confession on Monday morning.
A passerby snapped photos of the incident. The photos show SUSPECT with a plastic bat in his hand.
He identified himself as the man in the photos. He said he didn’t hit Sampson with the bat, but he dragged the Rottweiler to the house’s side yard where he stays. He denies that he confessed to accusations of abuse.
KC Pet Project has the dog and shares that he’s not injured, but this is a serious case.
