Kansas City Faith Blogger Contemplates 'Truth To Power' Mandate

Local scribe Bill Tammeus remains the leading Kansas City metro author on faith & morals and in his latest blog post he offers an overview of recent progressive screeds against the Trump Administration along with biblical contemplation of truth telling in the political world.

Reportedly, as he argued with a rowdy mob grew frustrated and hit back: "What is truth?" It seems they didn't give him a direct answer but only continued with pushing their agenda.

"The practice of comparing one's behavior and thinking to what one's faith asks of its followers varies from tradition to tradition, but if one ignores that obligation, one essentially -- or eventually -- abandons the faith.

"In many traditions, followers are obliged to speak truth to power, to challenge rulers who are treating humans as less than human, to cry "foul" when leaders break the rules they've pledged to uphold."
