Hindsight is 20/20 and a great many armchair pundits rightfully advocate for more safety measures for first responders . . .

However . . .

IS IT WORKABLE TO FRISK EVERYONE WHO NEEDS AMBULANCE SERVICE AND HOW SHOULD FIRST RESPONDERS MAKE FAIR DECISIONS?!?!

Hint . . . Don't rely on the Internets for helpful answers.

Meanwhile, locals do deserve credit for pushing the question . . . Check-it: 

Officers engaged with her and determined she needed medical assistance. That’s when EMS arrived, Hoffman and his partner among them.

But at some point during the transport to the hospital, investigators say SUSPECT stabbed Hoffman.

Many are now questioning whether the stabbing could’ve been prevented and whether first responders knew she had a weapon.

The heart of the issue: should SUSPECT have been searched before entering the ambulance?

Experts say it’s not a clear-cut answer.
